I would say your hands are sore. Did my first XTC last night. Hands still sore..

 

It weren't too bad once you get the hang of it you find ways of making it easier for yourself n friction cord is easy anyway best stuff to learn on:)

 

Although I did get the sore hands again the other day doing some Yale blaze not a nice rope to splice at all!!

Nice one so just a practice one then or is it usable for anything?

 

That's a lot of whipping aswell just making sure eh:p that low bit is very neat mate n I bet that bit closest to the eye werent easy either

Ta for that. I did a few double braid and this 16 strand. Going to get it tested for strength. Hope to get it done in next two weeks.

 

Silky knocked a few strands of 4 meter from my eye splice. I cut it off below and did a practice splice. Might re splice after test and keep it for prosperity. I stitched and whipped near eye. Love doing the whipping.

Niiiice where can you get tested co this is wot I really wanna do is see the exact strengths of my splices.

 

Yeah the whipping is great nice finish off innit.

Just started splicing, but I'm struggling on the core into cover bury, just wondered if anyone has any tips for this part of the splice on doublebraid. cheers for any help.
