Does the splice on your rope fit through your rope guide?

Mine arrived today, and my spliced end won't fit through the cocoon. Which means I'll have to climb the tree, install the rg then pull the end of my line up and feed it all through. Obviously, this is not ideal. So I wondered if all ropes do this, or if your fancy 11mm ones work better.

You could always install it the wrong way around and melt a hole in the end of your rope to put your retrieval ball through? Or something along those lines...

However to answer your question, yes, the eye on my fancy ass skinny rope does fit through the pulley. Hope that helps.

The spliced eye on Imori fits through a Pinto Rig.

Right... That helps. Looks like I'm gonna have try the other ropes at work tomorrow. If none of them work, I'll buy a new one. Cos I can't do with pulling 45m of rope through every time I install it. Thanks

I just made a rope guide with a pinto rig pulley and my tachyon rope go's through but the rubber stopper/ring that I use to close the rope splice just snags the pulley. works ok with a bit of force.

Is your pinto threaded through with the prusik line or is it connected by two separate tails?
