Chipper Blades Wear Marks

Hi there, Just changed the bloade on my tw150 for some new ones with the intension of sending the old ones off for sharpening.

On removal of the old ones, i've inspected and at the lowest point from (damage) of blade to the wear marker line is 2-3mm.....

i put them up to the new blades and they have seen a lot of use and are smaller so will have been ground before, just wondering if its feasable to have these ground again or are they too close to the wear mark?

cheers Chris :001_smile:

I used to have mine ground after every 8 hours use. I had them ground down as far as the guide line (I guess thats what its for). Never go below it or theres not enough steel between the leading edge and the bolt holes.

As long as you can get a straight edge above or on the line, youre OK
