First Time

Had my first experience climbing the other day. Spiked up a small 25ft willow pole and absolutely loved it. Was bloody shaky but was worth it. Took me a while to completely let go of the stem and the spike took some getting used to, few slips :scared1: . Can't wait to try some more and get my cs38 booked!!

Well done chap! Don't forget to always choke your climbing line round the pole with a running bowline, that way if (and only if) anything goes wrong you've got a safety back up. It's also good just to hang off to rest your legs if your getting tired, your groundy can also use it to pass up saws/sarnies or drinks.
