Bing I took your advice and made the attach points from a larger link with a bored out hole, so that the biner will attach directly to the OAR. The ANSI size 80 roller links are some tough steel as my cobalt drill bit will hardly touch them, and a chain saw file just barely grates. Notice also that the master chain links have been treated with black oxide for corrosion resistance.

Looking nice Gordon.

I'm still getting on great with my Bulldog, spent last week dismantling 5 very large poplars, lots of rope work and lots of to'ing and fro'ing. The bulldog set up in an 'O' rig really did make the ascents a breeze and limb walking while feeding out rope is now second nature.

Just noticed, is the bottom non articulated spine bulldog set up with double handles?

I have the four arm demo OAR (above right, in the picture above) available to anyone who would like to try it. This four arm OAR can be dissembled and converted to the two arm OAR like Bing uses for DdRT. The four arm OAR is intended for use SRT on 1/2" or 7/16" rope. Please just send postage (25.00) to cover my shipping costs, and then ship it back when you are done giving it a test.

Thanks, Gordon

This is a very good offer, not many manufacturers would be willing to let you try before you buy from the other side of the pond.

Plus, if you're toying with the idea of srt it's a cheap way of trying out the technique. No rope wrench or stiff tether needed.

Hi all, I had bought a OAR off gordon a month or two back but with the 3 arms it wasn't able to hold my weight so I haven't gone much further with it, if any one is keen for it PM me and you can have it less than what I bought it for. Gordon has fixed the problem by adding another arm to it for the larger climbers but the one I have should suit climbers sub 90kg unless you contact gordon and get another arm for it

Thanks

Nick

Hi Gordon

Would you be willing to ship to Melbourne Australia?
