Hi

I have been asked to enquire if anyone would be interested in milling a large oak. The person wants to keep the oak so it is priced on your milling rate. The oak is about 5ft at the base tapering to 4-4.5 ft at the first branch, giving 20ft of trunk probably into 2 10ft lengths.

They want it it full width slabs or planks so I presume an Alaskan job?

Please pm your contact details and i'll pass them on. The job is near Dorking

Autotrek would be the way to go but you'd still have to break the log down to lift it onto the bed and it's assuming that you can get it next to the log.....

These fellows have a 66" double ended MS880 mill set up - may be worth asking them Fox Earth
