dibond allí composite chip box

is this possible, i need to make a chip box up, needs to be light and cheap!, iv noticed you can get huge sheets of the stuff, but is it man enough for the day to day loads of chips and logs, feedback quick would be much appreciated.

Dibond is strong but I can't see it suiting this application. It's quite heavy and it's quite bendy. It's used for making signs principally...

No it wont last 5 mins on its own.

 

You can slice it open with a stanley knife.

 

If you used something like 12mm wbp ply then used the dibond for the fancy looking side it would work.

I bought 12mm ply and coated it with 2 coats of exterior gloss paint. Holding up well enough and isn't too heavy, not sure of the weight but it's about 4 boards worth.

dont use ply on the headboard our boxes had it and within four months chipper had blasted a hole right through! now they have steel cladding
