If a second climber needs to access the tree why can't he use is own line as normal? You could install an emergency access line if required. Can't see why you would access on one line then install another to work off though, line in get to work!

 

It's just your talking about ways to improve efficiency and response times, an access line already installed is only a good thing, in an emergency I would not want to wait for a second climber to start throwing into my tree to set a line, so in my opinion an emergency line is always required vital and an important benefit of using srt so why use it to work?

I was also thinking that you could choke your srt work line to the top and have a shorter tail attached to the access line making everything retrievable from the ground.

or you could have an in-line anchor point on you access line but still work SRT and have the access line still available for a rescue making it all retrievable, or would having two climbers weight on one line be too much weight thinking about loads on forks and base anchors, not equipment SWL
