The RW was designed to allow climbers to use a hitch on an SRT system. It does this very very well! It was not designed to be used with mechanical devices( lock and spider jack) but I think for me they are the way ahead! The RW as certainly paved the way in the UK for experienced climbers to try a system which until now very under utilised but I firmly believe SRT to be the future! Kevin may correct me on its original design use but I would say with the innovation of other climbers it's made the RW a huge hit!!

The unicender for me makes a simple device for SRT with the only negative I have found is you have to send it off to have it re-serviced.

I have a SJ and it works with the RW but I want to make the system as minimal as possible, by using a LJ you can loose the hitch climber. I am going to by a LJ just for this purpose. Cams are readily available and you can change them yourself unlike my unicender.
