Looking for work/career in SUFFOLK - IPSWICH - BURY ST EDMUNDS

Hi, My name is Mike and I will soon be leaving the Army after 23yrs of exemplary service. I will be embarking on a new career as a Tree Surgeon; and I shall be completing my 10 week Tree Surgeons course at Otley College, in April this year.

I am a very young 39yrs old, and really want to keep some things in my working life which I have loved about Army life, that being; exciting – physical work, working in a team, working outdoors (in all weathers!), working hard and going home at the end of the day feeling satisfied.

I have a clean driving licence and hold; B+E (any weight), C+E (any weight), F, G, H and K. During my time in the Army I spent 13yrs as a Plant Operator using Front Loading Shovels, Graders, Self Loading Trucks and JCB type tractors.

As part of my military resettlement package I have £4000 in training credits to spend over the next 10yrs, and I would be willing put this towards courses which any future employer would like me to attend.

Can send my CV to anyone interested and can be contacted on mobile 07788 735966

Thanks for looking

Mike

I'll keep you in mind for if the boss needs any more help, we're based in north suffolk. Good luck with the new career, I did the same course in April 2009 at otley, it was really good.

mike, you are fortunate in your location, probably one of the densest populations of tree surgeons in the country! And I don't mean they are thick!! BTS are a major employer around here, doing mainly line clearance for UKPN, as well as domestic and other work, and they will train you up as well. Aside from them there are many in the YP, and local press, who may be able to offer you a day or so until you are trained up. I'll pass your number onto a colleague of mine as he is sometimes shorthanded, and in wfact one of Otleys tutors helps him now and again on big jobs, so maybe useful to you.

have passed on your details as we speak, though I can't promise anything, hope it helps.

Thats great - many thanks. Eddiegts mentioned your name when I spoke to him on the phone earlier as you are close to me, I live in Hitcham. Anything you could throw my way would be greatly appreciated, be it advice, contacts or work.

Thanks again.

I did pass your details on, mate isn't looking for anyone right now, but this can be a fickle industry, and some jobs demand extras at short notice. Never say never, and I'm out of action for a while, so there is a gaping hole in the Market for a good bloke!!!!
