Picnic bench ideas?

Hi all, I have got some planks lying in the shed that me and my mate milled last year and a relative was looking for a picnic bench so im looking for some ideas so i can make one.

I would greatly appreciate any ideas or pics for inspiration

Very nice, like the idea of keeping the natural edge. I quite fancy one like that for myself now, cheers mate

Thats what im planning, never done one before so just looking for a rough idea although like you say, just let the wood dictate

that's it, interesting grain, features in the wood that you can accentuate with a flapdisk/arbortech grinder.. I think the key to great furniture is something you love when it's finished, even if everyone else hates it !

Tables with attached benches are a personal hate (not wishing to offend).. i consider then heightist because at 6' 8" I can never get my knees under there!

build it higher,,,I was building my benches to an order, using there cedar tree,so as they where for kids,,they needed to conform,

Ive done loads of bespoke one offs,,there my favourite,,,

relative now changed there mind and would like bespoke log picnic table which is good as ive got some good ideas for that but as time is limited they will just have to wait. Now i can come up with some other plans for the planks ive got
