Does anyone have any manuals for a 1986 JCB 525b tele

Fitted new alt not charging but 12v present going into small wire on alt. Buzzer been going for years while alt stuffed. Tonight give panel a pull about and replugged in connectors on back eventually buzzer goes of and 14v present. If I can get a drawing would feel better about pulling dash about. Its a right mess with added bits for beacons and fans etc. No warning lights at all and head lights work when they feel like. Wants a bit of time and tlc. I would like something abit more tidy but that involves spending 10k plus with more electronics to go wrong

I've got no access to the workshop till new year coz the boss is on winter hols. I'll have a look asap,see if I can get a copy of the wiring diagram and fuse panel. The main problem with the electrics on them is the large multi pin plugs in the loom,the tiny connections normally fail. I take it the battery light comes on? Did you measure the voltage on the little wire while it was connected to the alternator or unplugged?

The small wire going to alt was unplugged but showed battery voltage when ign turned on. I have now got alternator charging but have a feeling when I screw dash down or go over a bump things will take a turn for the worst.

If it gives further trouble test the small wire voltage with it connected by probeing the back of terminal, it should still read 12v ,if there is a poor conection in the circuit the voltage can drop when under extra load. If the voltage has droped The problem is normally located at the dash,ie bulb or fitting or the loom harness conections. One of the loom conectors being at fault would explain loss of other systems,lights, charging and forward/reverse if fitted with power shuttle are all common to this fault. If you ever see one of these plugs apart you'll see why.
