Have been working at a great site this past week......carried out safety works within the grounds of a country manor house. Also been doing some woodland work with some very fine old ash which i have yet to photograph.

 

For now...a magnificent field maple which wasnt on the original works schedule but i ended up reducing the height and end weight of limbs.....dodgy climb but worth the effoert to hopefully keeping this fine tree going for a while longer.

 

A super old pollarded lime.

 

And lastly this old pollard (not for a long long time Beech.) It has lost one big limb and the owner will be contacted with a view to getting him to agree to have some reduction work done in the future.

They're corkers mate.......cant wait to show you around some of the places i have been stumbling across down here.......stunning old ash trees seem to be everywhere.....especially old hedgerow ash. Will take you to the site in this thread.....you'll love it. We'll get crimbo out of the way and then meet up.......theres a bed here for you so we can make a weekend of it.

found a beautiful hollow ash there today.....lots of hispidus doing its work in the crown.....a fine site indeed.
