Wow...this goes back a ways David....! In answer to the riddle comes only more questions Im afraid! Did the host die as a result of infection? ( This is not intended as a trick question BTW )

I think its clear that some fung will switch mode whilst others do not...and further, this change may well be triggered by a -another , contributing factor...
