Weekend jobs to boost the bank account up a bit?

That will only last for so long James, when my wife helps out it ends up costing more at the hairdressers and shops.

 

Yogi if the wood costs £20 a tonne you should make good money on that as logs.

It is labour intensive as it will all need to be sawn / split and the dry out so you will need space to store it as well.

 

Good luck with logs if you do try it.

 

How long will they need to be dried out for? I suppose there is no harm in getting £60 quid worth of timber just to give it a try.

 

 

 

£20 a ton ,:laugh1: got any for sale

 

Ive only been told that from another employee not my boss in person so it might not be right. Also on the other hand the wood might be awful :)

Give it a try after 5 years of beating your fingers off you will be an expert. I would avoid paying money for willow or low value firewoods as you will struggle to sell. If its ash or beech bargain even if its knotty.

 

Will I need to sell each bag as 'beech fire wood' or 'ash firewood' or will it be a case of selling it as hardwood or softwood?

Hi there to make extra money at weekends I just offer a 7 day a week open for business so my tree work is booked up at weekends as well .
