Cheers for the pics Dak but i am still not sure how that will work? the one i saw on the video was a pointy tube and a part of the rope was stuffed in the thick end to push it through the rope so i dont see how your wire works??:confused1:

I suppose i really need to give it a go to figure all the ins and outs.

cheapest way, not having to fork out for tubular fids, which on small diameter rope are pretty tough so i'm led to believe.

I've never seen splicing done before, but I just watched that New England vid...

That is worthy of that Dynamo dude off the TV....

 

It just looks in every way like it shouldn't work.... just brilliant....!
