Got all sorts or trees growing in pots in the garden, I put them out the front of the house for people to take F,O,C most end up being taken by the children on there way home from the day nursery at the end of the road.

If just one of the hundreds Ive done over the years reaches maturity then it will have been worth it.

Hi

Right can anyone tell me if i'm barking mad planting a load of acorns/conkers/beech nuts/pine cones/sycamore seeds into some tubs and hoping they are going to grow so i can plant them in a few years?

Many Thanks:biggrin:

oak and hazel are easy- plant them couple of inches deep in a bed in veg plot. ash and hawthorn are much easier to dig up as saplings as you need to know how to break dormancy to get them to sprout in spring, otherwise they take 18 months i think, !!
