Can you explain what the RW does for the the system. What advantages and disadvantages?

I'm intrigued. :001_smile:

 

It allows you to use it on a SRT line, it takes just enough friction of the SJ to allow descents under load and under control. You do not get the sit back either like you do with a hitch.:thumbup1:

That makes good sense but does it inhibit the SJs self tending ability in any way?

I don't have SRT gear (yet) so I'm just curious.

Pictures 4 worries me a bit due to the angle the SJ is subjected to. Great idea though and defo something to improve upon. Good work atree :thumbup1:

 

Yeah i heard you can use a m-rig,(joe harris briefly explained it to me)but was just playing around

Used my pulley idea while cable bracing a tree today and found it really helped when out on limbs and helped when pulling slack through when it was closertotheground.

 

Will give it a try tomorrow,Cant really the advantage of it tbh.
