Hey all,

I'm starting CS38 in a couple of weeks and I'm wondering if anyones got any advice on clothing. I was thinking about wearing my normal chainsaw PPE as thats what I'll be wearing later anyway. Or should I not bother and make things easier on myself for my first bit of climbing? Any other advice would also be welcome.

There will be plenty of time for wearing PPE in the future why bother, wear comfy clothes and take some waterproofs, and ankle support boots. And maybe get a pair of of thin slightly sticky gloves.

Cheers for the replies people! I'm really looking forward to it now, getting excited about getting stuck in! Think I'll go ahead and wear PPE - at the very least it'll keep me warm!

Planning on wearing my normal chainsaw boots (lace ups, not wellies!). Thinking good ankle support, good grip, waterproof and sturdy. Is there much real difference between climbing chainsaw boots and normal chainsaw boots? I'm guessing weight and price are the main issues!
