Repairing ms200 fuel tank

i'm in the same boat, did mine monday, and its cracked for quite a distance down the seem. I managed to spike the bottom of my fuel tank once, i repaired that with araldite which worked for a few months untill i sold the saw. I dont think its gonna work this time however as its a large crack and i read in the instructions that araldite was no good near oil based liquids, could be different now mind as that was some time ago.

You can buy purpose made repair putty/epoxy for plastic fuel tanks.

 

something like these.

Or, in the past I have used a soldering iron to melt the plastic if its a very small crack and also used the epoxy steel putty which you get in most car shops for around £6.
