Its a tough trade to get into from the bottom at the moment,cs30/31 is a start, being legal to tow & drive, with a clean license & maybe some trade related first aid tickets would make you a more interesting prospect to a potential employer.

Climbing tickets are a start too,but experience is the key to getting employed,or making a go of it.

In your circumstances I would stick with the money earner you have, try & get yourself in with some local arbs for a bit of weekend work helping out,you can learn a lot by just being there,& pick up some money to help with the qualifications,as well as getting yourself known in the right circles.

Good luck in it,& if you want it you will find a way.:001_smile:

There is no definate answer to this, if you have the natural ability for this job then you can get up to speed quite quickly with the right team, but money isn't good and what ever fitness you have, unless you are a scaffolder then you are going to be pushed hard.

You have a huge responsebility to your family, ask yourself why you want to do this job?

You are a young guy witha lot on your shoulders, maybe the thought of this job takes the pressure off a little.

good luck, you are in the right place to learn :)
