Has anybody seen an increase in there area. While out with the dogs this morning i saw 2-3 and we have killed a good few this week.

 

I belive that the virus likes the wet humid summer we had and thats why it is very common at the moment.

I've noted a definate increase in our local population, no signs of Myxy though.

Haven't seen anything for a good number of years.

 

Was particularly bad 15 years ago.

Then again we are an urban openspace which is relatively isolated.

I think the wet weather encourages them to stay put in burrows more and the so the virus can spread between animals more quickly.

it came through Windermere area last year, haven't seen any this year but will I'm out shooting in the next couple of weeks for clients with bunny issues. might see some then.

I'll go lamping 2 mr and post the stats on monday, I'll use my logan s-16 on my FAC at 28flb (not that u realy need the power when lamping but great for that extra bit of range during the day!) allthough if any thing i've seen progresivly less myxi over the last year or so.

I have a limited shoot area of 5 meadows, but they were plagued with rabbits earlier in the year. With progressive culling, the numbers are now at a more satisfactory level, and havent seen any signs of myxy so far.
