Hi Guys

Just checking on the ID of this photograph. I think its Acer henryi, but the leaf stalk is greener on my specimen and the large leaflet is toothed ab bit like Acer davidii.

Im almost but not quite certain its Acer henryi!

Cheers Nick

Petiole is smooth, unlike A. nickoense. Someone on uktc said it was A. negundo, but I dont think so. I think I should have taken a photo of the whole tree as well!

You won't find Acer ginala because its Acer ginnala.

The leaf here is more than likely Acer maximowiczianum:biggrin:, its similar to A. griseum with different bark.

in fact scrap that:lol: its not A. maximowiczianum that was my guess looking from my phone

I'd be more confident in guessing Acer triflorum:thumbup: but it could also be Acer henryi as you state!

Have you got any more pics?

Either A. triflorum or A. henryi

Hi RobArb

Acer triflorum is definately a contender! I havent got any more photos yet, but im going to get a few more shots next week of bark, leaves in situ and seeds etc

(I thought, naively, my specimens would have been enough to find out what it was lol!)
