How to fix Xmas tree lights in trees

We did a similar job on some street trees when i was in devon - we found that using elastick (from a sewing shop) to tie round the branches and the cable ties from the elastic to the lights was probably the best way at the time . the good thing about the elastick is that over 5 years it tends to perrish and not cause the tree any bother
