Working the wood for someone else, the timber will be going for firewood but the bigger butts will be milled for furniture. I can also help myself to anything i find of use, there is a mixture of ash and hawthorn. The hawthorn ranged from 8" to 12" diameter.

That's impressive for hawthorn!

 

I'd quarter it up as I've tried drying/sealing it in the round but always seemed to crack...

 

That should keep you turning over the winter!
