Mine goes straight into boxes and mixed with all the sawdust from local cabinet makers and turned into briquettes:thumbup1:Some of the guys I collect sawdust off have locals collect their sawdust just to take it out of their way but I dont think much if any money changes hands:confused1: It's the horsey people that you might get it sold to as this time of year the wet patches soon start to appear in their paddocks.

Thanks Phil

I produce a cubic metre of soft wood from my processor on a saturday. I cut joinery waste so its kiln dried virgin timber. It looks ideal for pet bedding ? . But with the hassle of bagging it and dealing with the public I send it down to the local chicken farm and they use it near the end of the crop under the drinkers. When cutting beech logs I must produce 20 metres of saw dust a month but it does not weigh much so not worth selling. I tend to allow it to rot down anyone need some top soil.

Mine goes into old builders bags and to the neighbouring farm. He then stacks the bags of logs with his telehandler, a couple of days worth of processing at a time. No brass either way but both better off. Am I losing out, is the market for mixed dust that good?
