I had two a few years ago (at the same time) - as ive said on other threads the clutches appeared to be made from gorgonzola - we replaced 5 (between the two vehicles) in a three year period, before finally going for the HiTach lifetime warrant clutch instead of the mitsi parts

we also had problems with the gear box, drives, you name it - pile of poop

the only good thing i can say about them is that they were nice to drive on road - except when they broke down unexpectedly.

Its possible we just had two bad examples , but IMO - dont touch with a barge pole - get a ranger, navara, or a hilux instead

I had a warrior 56 reg new shape for nearly two years and used it for work and leisure and going on holiday in around the country and never had any mechanical problems.

The only thing i found was they do wear front tyres out on the shoulders which apparently they are notorious for.

Overall it was a lovely truck and i would definately own another..

i had an 06 plate brand new not long after they first came out.... complete load rubbish... ok as long as your gonna use it as a car probably... but after 2 yrs and 100k miles of towing stump grinders and diesel bowsers around it was scrap...

thanks nick, any opinions on what single cab would be suitable for farmer/firewood type person?! will be my only transport so gotta be comfortable on long road trips also

I have a 56 plate single cab at the moment , so far it has been very good

I had it chipped from new so it has about 176 bhp i think , very quick and torque

It was converted into a tipper from new , so it carries about a ton of logs almost permantly

It gets driven accross stubble fields laden with timber and all i have had to replace is wiper blade

30 mpg and 70000 miles so far so good
