ive got an old kwik chip 222 and afer replacing the bottom infeed roller i took it out today for a test run it definatly drags the brash in easier however the bottom roller keeps stopping and i have to reverse the rollers to free it up! ive tried everything and the conclusion ive came to is that large pieces of chip are getting stuck between the spikes on the new roller and jamming it against the machine! i cant see anyway to remedy this as their is no adjustment on the roller...ideas? btw the machine is a little tired but i dont think power is an issue

yeah its not the anvil on the flywheel thats the problem its the infeed roller and on my chipper their is no anvil on that...now you mention that tho i think the blades could do with replacing/sharpening...im thinking that new blades would make smaller chips less likely to jam...maybe?!?

there should be some plates betwene the feed rolers and the flywheel - these are what im calling the anvil , as far as i am aware kwik chipps have these just like most other chippers , the problem is that they wear in the middle and cause chip to jam betwene the rolers and anvil . this has nothing to do with the chipper blades etc .
