Heres a few, the kauri is planted amongst maunka(leptospernum) to provide shelter. the base is covered to with manuka branches to protect against the sun and stop the grass competing with the young trees. Flax is planted closeby to provide shelter from the sun also. If anyones about in 500-1000yrs, there should be a pretty good forest on its way:001_smile:

The ongoing maintenace is 100% as good as the budgets allow, david- If you get to NZ, you must arrange some time with Stephen King mate, his knowledge of the forest from spore to ancient tree is mindblowing.

Nice documentation of an endemic sundew species. And the fungus living on the bug probably is a Cordyceps species.
