I have been having problems with my Hakke Pilke 1 x37 - the guide bar is getting very hot after 5 mins running and not sawing any wood. There is loads of oil getting through - it's wrecking the chain. Can anyone help, please?

check the chain tension does not alter between bar up and bar down. If its ok cutting then does the oil stop flowing with bar up, is the feed hose too long causing an air lock, is it trapped or kinked. Not sure about 1x37 but our 2x runs with 1.5mm chain not the 1.6 stihl . You can get it to fit on a worn bar but not new. Have you gone from mineral bar oil to bio. Some ideas but I am probably miles out. If it stops mid cut then try sharpening the chain on a bench grinder.
