Thinking about buying a tractor and crane?

What should I be looking for while I am tyre kicking?

Any obvious test drive checks that could show any potential problems?

i'll probably be looking for a 6400:001_smile:

Haven't got clue 1 about Valmets, but if you're thinking of shifting the BCS please let me know....

Might be worth talking to Kevin Cowe locally, he's run a few.

I spoke to them about that this morning.:001_smile:

Not a bad price when you consider wilsons want over 20k for one without a crane and more hours. Its another 18k for the crane.

on the other hand there's loads on the net for 10-15

very tempting

have you ever used a roofmounted crane before? If you havent it will scare the life out of you at first but you soon get into it.And they do tend to bouce abit on the road you can either slow down or speed up both tends to stop it bouncing ha,

A decent mog will cost me twice as much, I can hire a 22m hiab for £55 an hour, easier to do that for the dismantles then pick it up with a roofmount. I might be sorting another yard near edinburgh soon so not so much travel either.
