Km 130r overheat???

my km 130 with a hc attachment seems to overheat, i use it for say an hour then it stops and dusnt fire fully its just bumbles over, if i leave it for an hour it goes again.....

Is it the 4 cycle machine? If so not the first with issues. Just had a 2 yr old one play up and told it needed a new carb after trying a new coil (made it uneconomic to repair), but the other one that had problems (also told it needed a new carb) just needed an ultrasonic carb clean £30 - done by 2 stroke man not Stihl dealer who wanted over £100 for a new carb.

Try Holbrook Engineering Heathfield 01435 813145 (near you), they sorted a mates with the Ultrasonic thing. It could be not running it on the fancy Stihl green oil but the machines we have run on Husq xp (cheaper) and seam to be fine after 2 years. Hope this helps

my first 130 wouldnt start when stopped hot , the air filter kept geting soaked in petrol . Was told to replace the carb which didnt fix it, in the end a breather in the petrol tank was replaced and that sorted it

Good to know my newest 130 does exactly the same.

I've got a 1 year old one that's just needed a new diaphragm, not hugely impressed as it's not had that much stick, fortunately it's under Stihl's 2 year warranty, though it's only a year for businesses...
