Beechwood Technical Demo at AA Conference 2011

Beechwood Trees and Landscapes Ltd undertook the technical demonsration at the AA's 45th National Amenity Conference yesterday at Warwick University along with the AA team, Chris Cooper Abbs and Matt Brooker. Here are a selection of pictures from day. The picture of the Lime shows 50% of the tree before a 1m reduction (RHS) and the other half after (LHS). We also demonstrated a rescue and tree access techniques.

Why is the chap in picture 10 wearing spikes ?

Do the AA except a climber using spikes when the tree is to be retained ?

 

Not looking for a punch up :001_smile: just thought you might be able to give Me an answer that I can use if I ever get caught climbing with spikes whilst doing a reduction :sneaky2:

 

There are no spikes in picture number 10!

 

The guy in picture number 11 with spikes on is about to demonstrate a pole rescue on a tree scheduled to be felled. :001_smile:
