what length of friction cord for hitch climber

all depends on what rope and hitchcord you use. as they are so work so different on different ropes, sizes and cord.

 

i tried loads of different ropes and hitches,8mm and 10mm Distel/knut/vt etc etc etc and so on with ropes. mainly around 11-12mm, due to weight and finally decided on Tachyon 11.5mm with 10mm bee-line. at 1.4m in length tieing fisherman's with good tails.

 

hope that helps, but as a gernal rule 1.5m is a good length.
