If you need to run power tools a petrol one is your best bet even then you will be pushing the limits Bought this one off ebay to throw on the front of my 10 tonne trailer. £300 sell yours trade up you need some serious cfms to run tools.

does your truck have the option of air conditioning if so use an air con pump as a compressor direct of the engine

if you go on lr 4x4 forum and search on board air compressor you should find all you need to know

i've done this on both my landys and it works well

Ford Rangers tend to get uncomfortably warm so I use the air con quite a bit. So that wont be an option!! I miss the bulkhead flaps in my old Landy!!!!!!! Mendiplogs mentioned someone attaching a tank to the TMax compressor!! Anyone done that?
