no never, ive bought quite a lot of stuff from the states and never been hit with tax or duty i must be lucky:001_smile:

 

heard some people have been stung though!!

Only thing to bear in mind is that most american gear is ANSI certified rather than EN certified.

 

Hopefully it shouldn't be a problem but I am not sure how it relates to LOLER etc. if you buy climbing gear.
