National trust accident

Hi guys,

 

I’ve just seen this, Child’s death ruled an accident following impact by National Trust fallen branch — Tree Contractors Directory and whilst it must be devastating for the parents of the children involved to have lost this case there seems to be a general acceptance now that life is not risk free and that no amount of tree surveying can guarantee a site being 100% safe. Although one has to ask the question did the tree surveyor know that school parties were being taken through the site, even on an ad hock basis?
