None of these seems a quick fix. I will look into getting a licience for grazon 90

 

Thanks for all the advise. I really dont fancy pulling out 12 acres worth of bramble roots :-)

 

Not sure if grazon 90 has approval now, there may be alternatives that have less enviromental impact and safer to use.

I always thought brambles were a part of the flora of a good woodland. They provide food and habitat for a variety of wild life. If you have to remove any cut paths through and leave the majority. The owners need a bit of educating about woodlands.

Many small wod owners seem to spend so much time and money "clearing brambles" that they never actually walk through the areas they have cleared. There is so much more to a good woodland than having tall trees with 20m spacings and just a bed of leaf litter on the ground - rant over
