Hi guys sorry in advance for the long post,

Last month I completed my Level 2 Diploma in Arboriculture at Sparsholt College with a distinction. In addition I have CS tickets: 30, 31, 38, 39, Chipper, M.E.W.P, Pole Prunner and Stump Grinder.

I am looking for any Climber/groundsman work in south of Hampshire. I would be willing to travel further a field but have no car at the moment.

Have all my own P.P.E but no chainsaws or climbing equipment yet.

I have been looking for work for some time now, have sent out many C.Vs and rang around all my local tree surgeons for work with no luck. Sorry if this is a stupid question as im new to the trade but is there just no work at the moment or at this time of the year? Has anyone any advise for me for my next steps?

ALSO:

I have family out in Australia and would like to eventually move out there to work as a Tree Surgeon. Is there anyone that has done this themselves or know of anyone that has made the move down under for arborist work?

Any feedback would be appreciated, Cheers Tom

Cheers Tree cutter Stu,

Yeah I found them when I gave Portsmouth City Council a ring asking for work. Was told there is no vacancies at the moment, so my plan is to keep pestering and bothering them untill there is haha
