Hi, i want to get into/know more about rigging in trees and just wondering what courses are available for such?!

i've already got a few book on the subject by would definitely want some hands on...

 

any help would be great :001_smile:

Best of all, buy "The Art & Science of Rigging".

 

Always remember, don't start rigging big until you've got years under your belt and only then if necessary.

There are no heroes in this business, just a trail of dead and injured people.

Following on from my above comments, rigging is a wonderful way of speeding up a job, making it safer and making it easier.

It's also a way of getting yourself and ground crew into a whole heap of trouble, very very fast.

i reckon a full on practical course would be better value than cs41, as they have to go through all nptc stuff.

 

not saying you dont need a cs41 - just the idea of doing a far more industrious app. would benefit more.

 

that makes sense , but if a day or weekends practical seminar was to be organised it would need to be both aimed at climbers that do not hold cs41 , maybe something could be arranged though
