Where are you meeting for Sat's ride out? I've got to get a bit of work done on the bike first thing in the morning (new geny cover fitted :thumbup1:) and I may as well blow work out for the whole day and go back to it on the Sun.

Interested, may borrow my son's XT660R bike or now he's on the forum he will want to come along sometime.

Friday evening he went down to the 'Ace cafe' for a quiet evening:sneaky2: Cops were checking bike and had two speed traps set up - untill 8:30pm, as they were packing up an R1 did a burn out past them :001_tt2:

He's off to a bike meet near Aylebury tonight something like Lugershall:001_cool:

I try and avoid the Ace on Fridays and Sundays as it gets far too crowded for my liking. I also find myself feeing really old and muttering about the anti social antics of the so called "stunt" riders... :blushing:

I'm aiming to get down there this eve' for the London Bikers newbie meet, if you want to nick the kid's bike and come along?

Would love to, but he is off out on it tonight. It's me that should feel old I fitted a new back tyre to the XT before he went down to the 'ace' and realized it was the first one I had fitted to a bike in 40 yrs - doesn't time fly.

I think with him going to the 'ace' it's abit like me going down to the 59club in the father bill shergold days - just got to be done.

The strange part was getting back on a bike after so long and settled into it, skills just came back. When he brought it I took it out for a test ride felt brill, then got him to put me down as a named rider.I swore blind I would never go back to bikes but it's always in you. I have a quad on a large estate I use for gamekeeping with my dogs on the back, free offroading and they give me petrol:thumbup1: But the bike bug is starting to bit again - is there a know cure?
