I would buy it off them for £30 a trailer load and season it myself if they want to work for peanuts, maybe haggle them down to £25 :)

 

I have recently been in talks with other log merchants but when you get down to figures they would rather deliver small loads to the public. For 30 cu metres in a skip they want 20% more per cu ? :confused1:

That sounds like a polite way of saying that they dont want to supply the competition Steve

I always struggle to have enough wood to supply other firewood merchants as well as cater to all my regular deliveries and have some left over to do all my nets up with.

However I do prefer supplying to other merchants as less donkey work for me,id rather be the guy on top of the supply chain than the little guy at the bottom doing all the labour and running around.
