one for teccie? mewp specific RA forms

Hello Paul, or anyone who has something to add:thumbup:

 

I/we are looking at adding a sheet to our growing portfolio of paperwork for the SSRA, obviously we now have the standard (slightly adjusted) AA forms for MS and SSRA, weve recently added a sheet for when rigging is checked in the SSRA and now were looking at MEWP specific sheets for elaborating when MEWP is checked in the box on our SSRA

 

For those not aware of abbreviations

 

SSRA=Site Specific Risk Assesment

MS=Method Statement

MEWP= Mobile Elevated Work Platform

 

So we are wondering if there is an AA approved standard format as much of what we can find in our researches only turns up those specific to building contractors and the like.

 

any help would be appreciated, if there is no such format as yet then i will create one (time consuming)

I have modified NPTC and IPAF.

 

I think your abbreviation key could be a new thread. we have so many of them.

any and all would be usefull, The Ipaf i would like to see as im looking to do my ipafs next year.

SOunds as tho you may be sorted now but I'm sure there's summat along these lines in the MEWPs Guide so will check if we have it as separate word doc. and post it later in the week.

HAZARD AND RISK ASSESSMENT (extract from AA 'A Guide to use of MEWPs in Arboriculture'...cost = £5)

 

Not a usual format risk assessment but a very good starting point I would suggest. The guide also contains a 'work site assessment' form which is also worth a look.
