Wait until you get a load of storm damage to do HSE goes straight out of the window :001_smile:

I dont whole-heartedly agree with this, HSE has recommendations for wind-blown and hung-up trees, as does our training, and if anything you have to be even more HS aware. I think what you may be trying to say is that you have to be more flexible in the approach to the work, and use skills learned over many years of experience, rather than be gung-ho and charge in. I've done some dangerous stuff in my time, way outside the safety recommendations in H&S, but I calculated the risks, discussed the method and adjusted the r/a accordingly, and I wouldnt expect anyone else to do what I did.

Give yourself time to do the job, if the weather turns, come back tomorrow, if your too tired, come back tomorrow, know your limits. Be safe, and good luck.

Doubly true when you are on a day rate! Never rush or work late when you're being paid by the day, you're just cheating yourself!

If I ever work on a day rate like that, I just work at a nice steady pace all day, I dont really stop much for breaks but I never rush, and I always find I get plenty done!

You put it a lot better than me :thumbup1:

Sometimes when I think what we've done over the years it can worry me. Well until the next time any how :001_tongue:
