Hi all,

Just pondering clearance work. Is there much on at the moment? Do you need specific quals etc? Who is good to work for/has things available?

Cheers

Sam

CSCS,PTS,UA1 you need them as a minimum for those lines of work. I used to work for treeclear Uk on the 18 inch and 20 inch chippers and they do big site clearance and large powerline stuff. Check out the website

For all work on the railways you must have PTS cert. (Personal Track Safety)

To do your PTS you must be sponsored by a company/contractor who is already contracted to carry out work on the railways.

For work on building sites in most instances you may need a CSCS card. (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) You can apply for this yourself, registration costs around £30, plus about £15 to take the pre-requisite H & S test.
