You have a 9inch gap between hitch and ascender so you stand up on the pantin slide up the hitch lower your weight onto hitch allowing ascender to be un clipped.

Does the hitch tend smoothly while climbing as the croll is super smooth.

I think i'm right in saying that you'd still have to put a fig 8 in below the HC & hitch for descending as thats the recommendation when using hitches on SRT to prevent the hitch from binding?

anyone got anything on fig 8 and hitch combo change over?

This system was showed to me by the stein guy nigal, he rigged it up in jonesis tent, I was sold on it that's why I bought the same setup just not in the stein gear.

ahh i see , i did like the Steign design on the hand and foot assenders . i have found with my petzel the rope can slip out of both , but wth the stein kit they have designed them for it not to be possible , they did also say that the stein SRT kit is the only kit to be fully CE marked

Alright Dave, i can't say i did see the Stein system, is this the setup?

More on the Stein SRT system

without getting close to it I cant spot much of a difference other than the shape of the hardware? but yeah, it'd be great if someone came up with a system to ascend and descend on, I think someone already mentioned unicender but again, thats a whole new ball game for me.

do you SRT much or can you reach most stuff from the roof of the mog:001_tongue:

come away with any new toys?

Unicender. I had a go on that and the rope wrench at the show and was converted instantly! Just need to save up to buy one! Is there any talk of the rope wrench going up for sale over here too?
