The rope spider has a maximum rope diameter of 13mm. I like the idea, watch the video it's interesting.

 

13 mm so 14 mm double esterlon/polydine would just about go through. 14mm polydine is rated at what? 5600kg?

 

I like these spider gear ones too, can see they would be useful in specific cases and will be having a couple. more than man enough for the way we work. we dont do silly macho lumps.

I remember reading somewhere about using a couple of rigging strops with prussics for balancing limbs when rigging. has anyone got a picture or has anyone spliced one up?

i bought 10 metres of EB braids 12mm from treeworker at the arbshow to splice but can't get my head around it now! :blushing:

I like that set up except for the second tail being a PITA when not required, otherwise a fab setup.

 

sometimes I like to rig of 2-3-4 bits at a time, say small bits on fine reductions with no room to drop over green houses that second tail would then be a god send.
