Beech that succumbed to Meripilus in 2008/2009

 

Reduced to a monolith in 2010.

 

Meripilus & Chondrostereum shots from before & after it had become completely dysfunctional,

and then shots from today of Coprinus sp (domesticus) and associated ozonium.

maybe a couple of hours at a leisurely pace to create the 'Cornettos'

 

But it took me weeks to get the sawdust out of me gillet pockets :sneaky2::biggrin:

hell yeah nice one, even more awesome pics....:thumbup:

 

 

do you find it hard sometimes to find a safe work position, while doing the coronets?

 

did 3 ash trees for a farmer just after xmas, all 3 heavy reductions and one i coronet-ed ......just thought work position was a bit awkward!!!

 

probably me just being a prune.....:001_huh::laugh1:

For sure

 

No safer or flexible substitute for doing them from a platform, ime
