I never thought this would become one of my go to DdRT climbing hitches, but it's just so simple. I get goodperformance on it when using either tenex tec, armor, or bee line on my poison ivy. Twists the rope, but no worse really than any other VT variation I've come across.

Hi all,

Just recently passed my CS 38/39.

Use a VT on my side strop with a micro-pulley on 8mm ocean polyester Eye to eye 65mm. Strop is 13mm Marlowe gecko 5m with captive 3-way swivel-caribiner.

Would like to eventually use a VT on my hitch climber. Not confident enough yet so still on prussic and Blake's . Thinking of transitioning to HC with a distel, then when I've got a bit more confidence/experience I'll make the switch to a VT.

Welcome to the forum, and well done on your 38/39.

Starting on the distel before the vt is a good way to progress. Let us know how it goes :thumbup1:
