Well I am lost too. C.S.31 out of date for our insurers (as a volunteer). Would have done C.S.32 as an update but medium/large trees seems to be in confusion. Without better information I shall spend my work training budget

elsewhere.

Hi there, sorry to 'confuse.com'...something I'm very good at, but never mean to!

In your case, as a volunteer and probably involving smaller trees (apologiese if I've misunderstood), then a Lantra Awards CS31 'refresher course' might be just the ticket (forgive the pun.)

The confusion over medium/large trees relates to the CS33 Large Trees (NPTC) ticket and I think it has been temporarily reinstated. Regardless CS32 is still valid and is therefore is a progression option.

Hope this helps.

Cheers..

Paul

Thank you everybody for all your help. I have had a very kind offer from one member and will be seeing him next week. -I'll try to post an update later.

I don't think I need CS30, or really need LANTRA, but the woodland skills centre looks fun. As long as I know how to be safe, keep the site safe and know my limits I think I'll have made a pretty good start. Anything on top of that (at the moment) is icing on the cake.

I too am looking for similar training, based in Shropshire.

Has anyone got any other suggestions apart from those in previous posts?

Try BASE UK for training, they might be able to help you :001_smile:
